EACHINE E58 – affordable alternative to the DJI Mavic Pro
The Eachine E58 is a foldable FPV quadcopter for the small budget and not only looks good on the outside. The design of the E58 from Eachine is very reminiscent of the DJI Mavic Pro, which is however in a completely different price range.
Similar to the Mavic Pro, the Eachine E58 is a foldable drone with retractable arms. This design with folding wings makes the drone extremely compact and therefore convenient to transport

The built-in 720p wide-angle camera of the E58 delivers very good images for a drone under 100 dollars, and the flight stability and handling of the Eachine E58 quadcopter are also quite convincing. With helpful features like Return-to-Home, Headless mode or the One-Key takeoff, this drone with camera can be easily mastered even by beginners. In addition, the pilot has three different flight modes with different maximum speeds at his disposal.
This way, you can slowly familiarize yourself with the copter and gradually increase the flight speed further. An additional feature is the flip function. At the push of a button, the E58 quadcopter performs a 360° loop and then stands still in the air again. By the way, this feature is also available on the Eachine E016H, which is an affordable alternative if you don’t need a camera on your drone.
Eachine E58 – Cheap FPV Quadcopter
The E58 can be controlled either with the included remote control (3 AA batteries are still needed) or exclusively via app on your own smartphone. In general, the control via remote control is more precise and also easier than operating the drone exclusively via cell phone.
We recommend that you attach the smartphone to the designated holder on the remote control, operate the drone via remote control and use the smartphone exclusively for displaying the FPV live image of the camera.
Flight characteristics of the Eachine E58
The drone can be controlled very precisely, lies thanks to the installed 6-axis gyro quietly in the air and automatically keeps the height if desired. However, due to the low weight of only about 96 g, the copter is relatively susceptible to wind and should therefore only be used in good weather. The included 500 mAh LiPo provides a flight time of about 8 minutes.
For a somewhat longer flight experience, we recommend that you order a suitable replacement battery at the same time. This way you can replace the empty battery with the full one after about 8 minutes and take off again with the Eachine E58. The battery is charged using the included MicroUSB charging cable. One charging cycle takes about 60 to 70 minutes.
It does not depend on the size
When folded, the Eachine E58 is extremely compact and can be conveniently transported anywhere. If you fold the arms and propellers of the quadcopter, it comes to the dimensions 12.5 x 7.5 x 5 cm. When unfolded, the size is 27 x 19.5 x 5 cm. With these ultra-compact dimensions, you can take the Eachine E58 anywhere and store it in a space-saving way.

Conclusion
The Eachine E58 is an excellent drone with camera for beginners and advanced users. The built-in 720p HD camera creates surprisingly good recordings for a model in this price range, and the rest of the workmanship of the small quadcopter leaves little to be desired. The transmission of the live image of the camera to the smartphone offers the possibility to control the copter from the FPV perspective (First Person View).
Different speeds, many helpful modes such as Return-to-Home, headless mode or automatic take-off and landing at the push of a button make this drone very interesting, especially for beginners. For a drone under 100 dollars, the Eachine E58 is very well equipped and finished and therefore, in our opinion, one of the best models in this price range for entry into this hobby.
