The NEHEME NH330 is a mini drone without camera, which comes with two batteries for a total of up to 14 minutes of flight time. The robust mini quadcopter is ideal as a beginner drone or drone for children from about 6 years.
Design and weight
Available is the 8 x 8 x 3.5 cm small NEHEME NH330 in either blue or red. The ultra-compact mini drone is well-made and quite robust. Collisions with walls, furniture or other obstacles are therefore no problem. For additional protection of the rotors, there is also the fully comprehensive propeller guard, which consists of four sturdy protective cages that shield the propellers in all directions.
Since the cages around the rotors also reliably protect bystanders from the fast-spinning propellers, the 32-gram NEHEME NH330 is also ideally suited as a drone for children from about 6 years of age. Up to the age of 14, however, the little ones should only fly under adult supervision.
Equipment and flight characteristics
The NEHEME NH330 has several features that make it much easier for you to handle the small quadcopter, so beginners and children will not face any obstacles.
To take off with the drone, you first need to turn on the controller and copter and connect them (pairing). To do this, place the drone on a flat surface and press the left joystick up and then down. To calibrate the internal gyroscope, then press both control joysticks down-left for 2 to 3 seconds.
Now the NEHEME NH330 is ready for takeoff and can be propelled into the air by pressing a button. Landing is also possible at the push of a button, but can also be done manually. By the way, if you want, you can also launch the mini drone into the air by throwing it from your hand.
You can fly with the mini-copter both indoors and outdoors. Outdoors, however, you should only take off when there is no wind or little wind, as the flying vehicle, which weighs only 32 grams, could otherwise easily be blown away.
By the way, the NEHEME NH330 maintains the current flight altitude all by itself thanks to the Altitude Hold function, without you having to operate the thrust controller.
During the flight, you have three different speeds to choose from: slow, moderate and fast. Should you ever lose control of the drone, an emergency stop function is available, which instantly shuts down the four motors.
The remote control still requires three AAA batteries or rechargeable batteries, which are not included.
Flight time and range of the NEHEME NH330
The flight time of the NEHEME NH330 is about 7 minutes per battery. Since two batteries are included in the package, you can enjoy a total of up to 14 minutes of flight time before the two 3.7 V, 300 mAh batteries need to be powered again.
Charging with the included USB charging cable takes about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the power source you use to charge the batteries. Charging is possible either with the help of your smartphone power adapter, a PC or laptop, or a power bank.
The control range of the mini drone is about 44 yards (40 meters), which is more than enough for flights within your own four walls and should also provide enough free space in the garden.
360° flips, spins & headless mode
The 3D flip mode of the NEHEME NH330 provides variety in the air. To make the drone perform flips in different directions, simply press the flip button and simultaneously move the control stick in the desired direction for the flip.
Another button also makes it possible to rotate the quadcopter around its own axis at breakneck speed (self-rotation).
For even easier control of the mini-drone, the so-called headless mode is available. If you activate this mode, it does not matter in which direction the drone is currently facing when commands for direction changes are issued. A rethink based on the current orientation of front and tail is therefore not necessary in this mode and the copter will always fly in the direction you have pressed.
However, it is best not to fly in headless mode for too long and also learn the normal control of the drone, since by far not all drones are equipped with a headless mode.
