AR.FreeFlight 2.0 is the first app to fly and control the AR.Drone 2.0 Power Edition. Use your smartphone or tablet to fly, with or without accelerometer, and switch between frontal and vertical camera. Save and share your photos, videos and flight data directly from this app.
HD 720p camera
The AR.Drone 2.0 is equipped with a high-definition front camera that allows you to see exactly what the AR.Drone 2.0 sees, as if you were in the pilot’s seat. You can download the free AR.FreeFlight 2.0 app (available via App Store and Google Play) and control the Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 in just a few seconds. The user-friendly control interface appears via video feedback through direct streaming from the AR.Drone 2.0 – and without latency, thanks to a self-generated Wi-Fi network. The drone’s automatic stabilization system with camera ensures high image quality indoors or outdoors, even in light winds. Whether with smartphone or tablet, the pilot sees a clean and crystal clear image directly from the sky.
Record directly to your device
During the flight, the pilot can take pictures and videos, thanks to the “AR.FreeFlight 2.0” app. With a simple push of a button, you can start and stop recording; and after landing, you can even view them directly in the photo/video section of the app. No cable, SD card or PC required! Everything is already stored in your smartphone / tablet, so you can view your flight immediately.
Record & Share via USB interface
For users who want to shoot long videos without using smartphone or tablet storage, a USB flash drive inside the AR Drone 2.0 can be used for direct USB recording. Shoot as many videos as you like and easily share them on YouTube or Picasa, thanks to an option in the app.
Director mode
Automatic camera control: Easily program your AR Drone 2.0 Power Edition to record videos with the highest standards. Film smooth panoramas and vertical movements and improve the quality of your videos. Director mode stabilizes your videos; the settings menu lets you tune exposure, color saturation, and white balance, or choose from a range of presets to quickly find the setting that best suits your needs.
Fully repairable:
All spare parts and repair instructions are available on the Internet. Video instructions show you how to replace the engines, the central cross, the electronic cards and even the propellers.
Control mode with absolute control
A brand new and exclusive control mode patented by Parrot for the AR Drone 2.0. The control mode with absolute control makes it much easier for beginners, since you only take the position of your device as a reference point. The result is simple: wherever the tip of the AR Drone 2.0 points, you just have to tilt your smartphone in one direction and the AR Drone 2.0 will fly there. Higher and faster with the AR Drone 2.0
